The inspiration to begin…
Well, I’ve owned this domain for a number of years, and have continued to retain without any use. It’s been lingering away taking up server space. But no more. Here I go, again foraying into the world of more literary blogging. As previously I had blogged, and still do on a more casual sporadic basis on www.zincroof.wordpress.com but that was more pictorial then serious debate or analysis. Which has over 50,000 hits this year so far. As well as my other project (http://history.corkgayproject.com/) where I’m aiming to digitally catalogue the records of the gay community here in Cork, via podcasting, video interviews, chat transcripts and images. A project which will begin shortly.
Well the inspiration to begin, as the title of this my first post alludes to? Well, my Digital History Module, with Dr. Mike Cosgrave (www.mikecosgrave.com)and the class exercise for next week? To set up a blog! So here it is. In all its glory. And with the assistance of a friend who helped me with themes! So much thanks to Jonathan there. I’m going to toy with this digital blog. And I hope to use it as a study aid for my Masters Programme. By hopefully recording and logging all college notes on here. In an openly accessible, transparent and a manner which allows for external contribution to my posts. So here’s hoping it will prove to be an interesting exercise and for me, a useful one!

Hiya.
Can I “borrow” your digital history cloud for a Power Point presentation that I am giving to U.S. middle and high school teachers on “teaching history with technology”?
Thanks!
